Breaking down the production UNC has lost this offseason

North Carolina’s basketball program is like no other, but they are like everyone else in the offseason when it comes to a complete reconstruction of its roster.

Retooling a roster is something every college program has to deal with, especially with a new coach coming in the case of new UNC head coach Michael Malone. The Tar Heels lost both Henri Veesaar and Caleb Wilson to the NBA Draft, seven more to the portal and two to graduation.

The Tar Heels brought in several players via the transfer portal and added one overseas. As UNC works to complete its roster for the 2026-27 season, here is a detailed overview of the production lost.
