Arsenal Declan Rice has demanded answers about his own problems but insists there is no need to panic over their failure to push Liverpool into the Premier League title race.
Declan Rice insists there is no need to worry about the Gunners incident despite Arsenal not being involved in Premier League title talks.
Liverpool remained top of the table until 2024 after Mikel Arteta’s side lost 2-1 to Fulham. It was David Moyes’ West Ham United’s second London derby disappointment since they were hammered by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on December 27.
Arsenal went top in the Premier League when Bukayo Saka produced a quick save from Bernd Leno, but the Cottagers fought back with Raul Jimenez before Bobby Dekodorwa Reed completed the scoring.
Arsenal’s defeat means they are in fourth place, one point ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and two points behind leaders Liverpool.
“Very disappointing. It’s very hard to accept and we’re no better off than we are today,” Rice said.”
The last two results weren’t what we needed or what we’ve had all season. We did well in the last two games, especially after the draw with Liverpool. We felt we could go further, but two defeats is hard to handle.
“Honestly, I don’t look at the table at all. The media say ” Arsenal will win the league this year” and we will be better this year, but we don’t get involved.”We are trying to put everything in order.
We performed very well, we were at the top of the table and this is where we want to be. The road is blocked, but there is no time to panic.”
There are many matches left and we have to think positively. We don’t have time to think negatively. “We have a great coach, great players and we will continue.”
