According to British and Dutch sources, Henderson is expected to sign a free agent contract with Ajax. The Telegraph claims it has yet to pay Al-Ettifaq’s advance.
The reason is entirely his own doing, as Henderson deferred his salary to save UK tax. But he has since breached that deal, meaning he may not be entitled to any back pay.
Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson may never see his £350,000-a-week wages at Al Eti Park. The Englishman has ended his contract with the Saudi Arabian Pro League club and has returned to Europe.
