Liverpool may already have a host of top attacking talents in their ranks, but it looks as though they’re on the lookout for the next breakout star.
And according to a recent report, the Reds have set their sights on a top talent likened to Vinicius Jr who is available for less than £10million
According to Fotboll Direkt, Liverpool are among the clubs who are trying to sign BK Hacken wonderkid Momodou Sonko.
Indeed, the Reds appear to have got the ball rolling already. The report claims the Reds have sent officials to Hacken in order to register their interest in the 18-year-old.
However, Liverpool aren’t alone in the race for Sonko. As well as the Reds, RB Leipzig and Bologna are apparently also in pursuit of the youngster, who’s said to have a £6million price tag.
If Liverpool were to win the race for Sonko, they’d be getting themselves on an amazing young player who looks set for a bright career in the game.

For many 18-year-old footballers, starring for their club’s Under-21s and being in and around the first team is really good going.
However, Sonko is already a regular for Hacken’s senior team, having made 44 competitive first-team outings for the Swedish outfit.
In addition, he has an impressive tally of 14 goals and eight assists, and has even got on the scoresheet in the Europa League.
Earlier this season, Jacek Kulig of Football Talent Scout likened his style of play to that of Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr, whose strengths include pace, acceleration, dribbling, ball control, agility and bravery.
Meanwhile, Total Football Analysis deemed Sonko ‘one of the best talents from Sweden of his generation’, with some other interesting excepts for Liverpool fans in their scouting report.
‘On top of dribbling and creating chances, Sonko possesses goalscoring ability as he revealed he has worked hard on his finishing,’ they wrote. ‘And it has been rewarded; Sonko is quite a complete winger in this sense.
They also wrote: ‘Sonko is a player with an excellent cut-in ability to finish an action.
‘This is an outstanding trait for a team like Liverpool, as the likes of Mohamed Salah, Luis Díaz, and Diogo Jota have all shown the ability to do that.’
All in all, Sonko looks like a great shout for the Reds. Let’s see whether they can push a move through in the coming weeks.
