With a bit of a winter break taking place for Liverpool, it’s been a while since the Reds were last in action.
Games against Arsenal and Fulham seem almost like a lifetime ago now. But the good news is that there is not long left to wait now until Liverpool’s next game.
The Reds are back in action against Bournemouth on Sunday. It’s Klopp’s first game in the Premier League since Newcastle on January 1st. And it will be an opportunity to extend Liverpool’s lead at the top of the table.
Ahead of the game, Jamie Carragher has been reflecting on the previous weeks, and he revealed he was left surprised by something Klopp did.

Jamie Carragher surprised by Klopp decision
Speaking on the Stick to Football Podcast, Carragher said he was surprised by Klopp’s decision to field a strong team against Arsenal in the FA Cup.
“I thought Klopp would make more changes to be honest. I was surprised Klopp played the team that he did because they were playing midweek in the Carabao Cup semi-final but he went really strong,” Carragher said.
In all fairness, Carragher is right. In the past, Klopp has fielded weaker sides in the cup. So, his decision to go strong against Arsenal was a bit of a surprise. However, in the end, it paid off with Liverpool getting a huge result away from home.
And it has meant the Reds are still fighting on all four fronts this season.
