Alexis Mac Allister compared to Steven Gerrard as Liverpool midfielder scores stunner against Fulham


Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister channelled his inner-Steven Gerrard as he opened his account for the club against Fulham in emphatic fashion.

The 2022 World Cup winner joined the Reds from Brighton in the summer in a deal potentially rising to £55million.

Deployed in the No10 role at the Amex Stadium, Jurgen Klopp has often used the Argentine as a makeshift defensive midfielder.

And in his 17th outing for the Merseyside outfit in all competitions, the 24-year-old has finally banged in his first goal.

In a goal of the season contender, Mac Allister let fly from around 30 yards out on the half-volley with his effort sailing into the top right corner.
