Barcelona and Real Madrid vie for Liverpool ace as two summer transfer priorities identified

Liverpool has supposedly sent its chief scout to South America to assess some players ahead of the summer, with two priorities emerging ahead of the transfer window opening. Meanwhile, Real Madrid and Barcelona are both said to be considering a move for a Reds midfielder who will be on his way this summer.

Arne Slot will lose a couple of big names but there will be more additions made to the Liverpool roster than Jürgen Klopp leaves behind for the Dutchman. As important or even more significant than any transfer deal that could happen will be tying key men including Virgil van Dijk down to new contracts. Chief scout Barry Hunter has already paid a visit to Brazil to look for the best young talents in the country, 90Min has claimed. As well as Europe’s top leagues, it is suggested that Liverpool will also assess the best players in South America.
