Liverpool goalkeeper has confirmed he will leave the club at the end of the season.
Liverpool youngster Luke Hewitson has confirmed his departure from the club at the end of the season.
Hewitson, who joined Liverpool as an U15 player from Sunderland, began his journey with the U18s during the 2021-22 season.
Notably, he made his European debut for the U19s during the UEFA Youth League quarter-final match against Juventus in Italy.
Additionally, he has had the opportunity to train with various England youth teams.
Hewitson signed his first professional contract with Liverpool in October 2021, marking an important milestone in his career with the club.
In early 2023-24, the young talent embarked on a loan spell with Stalybridge Celtic, initially until January.
Subsequently, the loan was extended for the remainder of the season. He made 42 appearances for Stalybridge Celtic in all competitions.
However, in a post on social media, he has announced his departure from Anfield this summer.
“It’s been a privilege to be able to work along side some of the best to ever play the game over the past 5 years,” Hewitson wrote on Instagram.
“Thank you to all the players, coaches and staff from behind the scenes for making this part of my career so enjoyable. Thank you, @liverpoolfc.”
