_”Browns’ Next QB? ESPN Insider Says Former Pro Bowl Star Reuniting with HC is ‘A No-Brainer’”_
The Cleveland Browns’ quarterback conundrum may have a surprising solution, according to ESPN insider, Adam Schefter. Schefter believes that a reunion between former Pro Bowl quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Browns head coach, Kevin Stefanski, is a “no-brainer” move for the franchise.
Garoppolo, who played under Stefanski’s tutelage in 2022, is set to become a free agent this offseason. Schefter thinks that the Browns should capitalize on their existing relationship and bring Garoppolo back to Cleveland.
“Jimmy Garoppolo knows Kevin Stefanski’s system, and Stefanski knows how to get the best out of Garoppolo,” Schefter said. “It’s a partnership that worked well in the past, and I think it could work again. It’s a no-brainer move for the Browns.”
Garoppolo, a five-time Pro Bowl selection, has been one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the NFL over the past decade. His familiarity with Stefanski’s offense and his proven track record make him an attractive option for the Browns.
While the Browns have been linked to several other quarterbacks this offseason, Schefter believes that Garoppolo is the best fit for the team.
“Garoppolo is a winner, and he’s a quarterback who can elevate the play of those around him,” Schefter said. “I think he’d be an excellent addition to the Browns’ roster, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they make a strong push to sign him.”
