Chiesa, Bradley, Jota – Liverpool injury news and return dates ahead of Arsenal.

Liverpool head to Arsenal today in one of the biggest Premier League games of the season so far. Victory in the 4.30pm kick-off at the Emirates Stadium would move the second-placed Reds back to the top of the table and seven points clear of their third-placed opponents.

 

Graeme Souness, the Liverpool great, believes his old club have the perfect chance to do that given Arsenal have so many injury concerns. They could be without as many as seven players for the match.

However, the Reds are not at full strength either. New head coach Arne Slot will be without five members of his squad for the Sky Sports-live clash.

 

And the Dutchman, who has led Liverpool to a club-record 11 wins from their opening 12 games of the campaign, will want them back as soon as possible given the hectic nature of the fixture list.

After this afternoon’s visit to the Gunners, the Reds head to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday before welcoming the same opponents to Anfield next Saturday in the Premier League. Further home fixtures follow, against Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen and Aston Villa, before the final international break of the year.
