Cooper Kupp to sign 3-year, $45M deal with Seahawks and…….

The NFL’s new league is well underway after officially opening this week. The flurry of deals can now be made official.

Most of Frank Schwab’s top 25 available free agents, and even more throughout his positional rankings, are already off the board.

One of the bigger names remaining was Cooper Kupp, who was cut by the Los Angeles Rams on Wednesday. He’s reportedly signing with the Seattle Seahawks on a three-year, $45 million deal. The former Super Bowl MVP is a native of Washington state and played his college ball at Eastern Washington.

With Kupp signed, the two biggest names in the fold remain quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson.

While Rodgers remains the biggest domino, Wilson is meeting with teams in the meantime. He is headed to visit the New York Giants on Friday a day after he saw the Cleveland Browns. (The Giants also reportedly hosted veteran Joe Flacco. So, yeah, desperate times.)

But Wilson’s fate will likely depend on Rogers’ decision.

Rodgers was officially released by the New York Jets on Wednesday, and his next team appears to likely be a choice between the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Giants. He reportedly has an offer on the table from the Steelers, but Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reported Thursday that the Minnesota Vikings are a “wild card” to land Rodgers, while retirement is also a possibility.

And if one of these QB-needy teams is left empty-handed, could a trade for the Falcons’ Kirk Cousins be in the cards?

There are still plenty of talented players to be signed too, despite the spate of agreements already reached. Here are the best remaining NFL free agents. Rodgers is No. 2, behind tackle Mekhi Becton.
