Nothing will be decided at Anfield this weekend, but the clash could be a key indicator of which of the two potential title contenders will be better placed to take the top spot come May.

Saturday’s game at Anfield will be difficult to pick a winner given the performances of both teams this season. However, there seems to be unanimous agreement between the two experts in particular.

BBC pundit Chris Sutton has given his weekly predictions and reckons the Anfield factor could be the deciding factor.”Arsenal will be braver than Manchester United at Anfield last week, but then Sheffield United will probably be more attacking than Erik ten Hag’s side,” wrote Sutton.

“I think the Gunners will be very cautious because they are not as wide as they were last season, but they are still a threat. There are arguments that there is a lack of centre-forwards that they understand, but they have shown that they can score from all areas of the team.

“So I think it will be difficult. But Liverpool are at home and it doesn’t look like they will take another place. They only know one way to play. “They will take the game to Arsenal and I think they will have the advantage.”Former Liverpool star turned match of the day pundit Danny Murphy also backed Liverpool’s win, telling Vibe on the Five podcast: Last year they were 2-0 and should have lost.

“I don’t think losing both of them will completely cancel them out. I think it was a big game for Liverpool to send a message after the Manchester United game. In terms of trusting Liverpool and Arsenal, I think you can see what they are doing. And they only lost twice. “But they were close and gave Villa their best performance.

It’s very important for Liverpool and I don’t see them losing and I don’t think they will. Arsenal are silent. Who will stop Salah? Zinchenko is a great footballer, but he is not as good defensively as Tomiyasu. “Arsenal can score a try either way and see a goal, but when teams come to Anfield and try, Liverpool are top, that’s why they haven’t lost this season.”
