Mohamed Salah has continued to show his importance for Liverpool, contributing to 51% of the team’s goals this season.
Despite the 1-1 draw with Arsenal, it is clear that Salah has given his Premier League rivals a warning, stressing his important role in Jurgen Klopp’s side. Arsenal legend Ian Wright criticized Zinchenko’s role in Salah’s equalizer at Anfield.
“Ride him on his face. First of all, don’t give him (Salah) the ball, give it to someone else. When you’re in that situation (Salah with the ball) he wants to go in and Zinchenko knows that, but not many can stop him,” Wright told Premier League Productions, via football.london.
Salah has urged his team-mates to “do better” as Liverpool remain firmly in the title race despite dropping four points from their last two Premier League games against Manchester United and Arsenal.
“We know we can’t lose points like this and we will keep fighting to do better,” the Egyptian forward wrote on social media.Salah’s pivotal role for Liverpool this season is undeniable as he approaches the final 18 months of his current deal.
Despite continued interest from Saudi Arabia, Salah has helped Liverpool win the Premier League title this season, beating competition from Arsenal and Manchester City.
