the Reds have been without the Scot since October due to a shoulder injury. Kostas Tsimikas has proven to be a good replacement for Robertson since joining Jurgen Klopp in 2020, but the Greece international has recently been sidelined with a broken collarbone. Under these circumstances, the Merseyside giants have been linked with a move for Fulham left-back Anthony Robinson. Steve Nicol liked the idea of this move as he believed Robinson would be an upgrade over Tsimikas.
The former Scotland right-back was quoted by TBR Football as telling ESPN:”I wouldn’t mind seeing him at Liverpool. I don’t think there are enough Tsimikas. “I think Robinson can unseat Andy Robertson,” he said.Anthony Robinson attended the youth academy of Liverpool’s arch-rivals Everton but failed to break into the Toffees’ first team. He became a key player for Fulham after spells at Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic. The 26-year-old has provided four assists in 22 league games this season.
He played in 39 games for the United States national team.
