The 2025 college basketball recruiting class welcomes some of the most talented freshmen of the last decade.
AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson and Cameron Boozer all have the tools and resume to be considered the No. 1 overall player in the nation.
Before either of the stars heads to the collegiate ranks, Boozer was announced as the 2025 Mr. Basketball USA.
The Columbus Explorers senior is the first two-time winner of the prestigious award since LeBron James.
Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils may be losing established talent from this past season, but the addition of Boozer should immediately propel them back to the top of the college basketball world.
Heading into his freshman season at Duke, following a state championship at Columbus, Boozer is ranked as the No. 1 power forward and No. 3 overall player in the nation.
Before committing to Duke, his father’s alma mater, Boozer attained some major offers, such as Kentucky Arkansas, Florida State and North Carolina.
The 6-foot-9 prospect is heading into his freshman season at Duke with great talent around him. He’ll be joined by five-star Nikolas Khamenia and four-star Cayden Boozer, his brother.
The three incoming blue-chip prospects will look to help Duke earn its first national title under Scheyer.
Last season, Scheyer led the Duke Blue Devils to the Final Four. They suffered a loss to Houston in the NCAA Tournament after defeating Alabama, Arizona, Baylor and Mount Saint Mary’s.
Now, Scheyer must replace the production of Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel and Tyrese Proctor, all of whom declared for the NBA Draft.
