Erik ten Hag confirms triple injury boost for Liverpool clash

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed a triple injury boost ahead of the FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool on Sunday evening. 

The Red Devils reached the last eight of the competition after a slender 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest. Casemiro scored with a header before stoppage time.

They now face a stiff challenge against their arch-rivals at Old Trafford and ahead of the game, Ten Hag has provided good news on the injury front.

 

The Dutchman confirmed that Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Rasmus Hojlund are all back in training ahead of the North West derby.

He added that all three of them could face the Reds. The Red Devils have already played Liverpool once in the Premier League this campaign.

Liverpool were widely fancied to win at Anfield, but only played out a 0-0 draw. United had the better chances to beat the Reds during the game.

 

Hence, it won’t be straightforward for either club. United start as slight underdogs, but will be optimistic of reaching the semi-final stage.
