There may have been some speculation regarding the signing of Wataru Endo from Liverpool.
The Japan international was brought in after Liverpool unexpectedly failed to sign regular starter Moises Caicedo and substitute Romeo lavia, both of whom moved to Chelsea.
Instead, the Merseysiders turned to Stuttgart for a fee worth £15.6m. Jurgen Klopp’s men will be a key figure at Anfield as they sign him.
