The New England Patriots’ team plane received a failing grade from NFL players, ranking 24th in the league. This was part of a broader survey conducted by the NFL Players Association (NFLPA), which polled 1,706 players across the league to grade their respective teams in various categories.
The Patriots’ team plane, despite being a private plane, was criticized for its lack of space, with only 73% of players feeling they had enough personal space while traveling. This grade was surprising, given that the Patriots are one of the few teams with their own private plane.
The survey also highlighted other areas where the Patriots fell short, including their weight room, training room, and treatment of families. The weight room was particularly criticized, with players feeling that the facilities and equipment were outdated and understaffed.
The Patriots’ ownership, led by Robert Kraft, also received criticism, with only 64% of players believing that Kraft was willing to spend money on necessary upgrades. This is despite the team’s current $225 million renovation project at Gillette Stadium, which includes a new weight room.
