đđ„ “Homegrown Star Power”: 5-Star RB Ezavier Crowell Hints at Auburn Commitment After Electric Visit to The Plains
Auburn, AL â The buzz is real, and the Tigers might be closer than ever to locking down a future backfield star. Over the weekend, Ezavier Crowell, the 5-star phenom out of Jackson High School, made his second unofficial visit to Auburn in what insiders are calling âa game-changing momentâ in his recruitment.
Crowell, widely regarded as one of the top running backs in the 2025 class, toured the facilities, met extensively with Auburnâs coaching staff, and took in Saturdayâs scrimmage alongside other elite prospects. But according to multiple sources and a cryptic social media post by Crowell himself, Auburn may now be the front-runner.
âIt Just Feels Like Homeâ
When asked about his experience on The Plains, Crowell didnât hold back.
âIt just feels like home here,â he told TigerTerritory. âThe coaches, the energy, the love â itâs all real. I can really see myself in that backfield, wearing that blue and orange.â
Sources close to Crowell say the coaching staff rolled out the red carpet, with Running Backs Coach Carnell âCadillacâ Williams personally walking him through film sessions and vision plans for his role in Auburnâs offense.
âCoach Cadillac is a legend, and learning from him would be special. He knows what it takes,â Crowell added.
Auburnâs Pitch: Be the Guy
Auburn isnât just recruiting Crowell â theyâre selling him on the opportunity to be the face of the Tigersâ ground game for years to come.
Head Coach Hugh Freeze and his staff reportedly told Crowell that he could be âthe next big name in Auburn football â the guy to carry the torch.â
Freeze has made it clear: building from within the state is key to Auburnâs future, and Crowell fits the mold â elite talent, Alabama roots, and SEC-ready mentality.
Smoke Signals on Social?
While Crowell has yet to make an official commitment, fans and recruiting analysts noticed a flurry of Auburn-related activity on his Instagram Stories Sunday night, including a photo of Jordan-Hare Stadium with the caption:
âThis view just hits different. đ đ„ #Family.â
Recruiting expert Josh Lanier of Southeast Scouting said,
âItâs not official, but when a kid visits twice in one year, says it feels like home, and is reposting Auburn content? Thatâs major smoke.â
Whatâs Next?
Crowell is expected to visit a few other programs this spring, including Georgia and Florida State, but many believe Auburn has gained serious traction. A commitment could come as soon as early summer if things continue to progress.
Auburn fans are already dreaming of a backfield led by Crowell â a powerful, agile runner with elite vision and breakaway speed. Pair him with Auburnâs growing offensive line class, and you might just be looking at the next Tigersâ offensive resurgence.
