“Indiana-UConn Football Series Canceled Again as Hoosiers, Huskies Nix 2026-27 Matchups”

Indiana versus UConn Football Game for 2026 canceled

The Huskies versus Hoosiers is no more, as they agree mutually to cancel their home and home in 2026 and 2027

The Indiana Hoosiers were set to travel to take on the UConn Huskies in Storrs, Connecticut in 2026, but that game will not be played, according to multiple reports.

Alec Lasley of the TheHoosierOn3, part of the On3 network, reported Wednesday that the game was off. Daniel Flick of the Indiana Daily Student reported the same later that day.

On Wednesday, UConn announced a new home-and-home football series the Miami (OH) Redhawks after the cancelled series with the Hoosiers.

Indiana and UConn played in 2019 and they were originally supposed to face off for the second time Sept. 26, 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic the game was cancelled. The Hoosiers and Huskies played in 2019 and Indiana won 38-3 prior to the postponed game.

No information for a replacement game was provided by Indiana Athletics was confirmed.

Indiana will open the 2026 season September 5th when they take on the Colorado State Rams at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.
