Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi wants to emulate Jurgen Klopp’s longevity at Liverpool

Inzaghi (47), former coach of Lazio, is in his third season at Inter.Inzaghi joined from the Biancocelesti in the summer of 2021. He replaced Antonio Conte on the Nerazzurri bench.Inzaghi’s longevity is no great achievement.

In modern football, coaches are fired after a season or two. There were many reports this spring that Inzaghi’s time as Inter manager was numbered. It’s been a terrible run for the Nerazzurri, who have picked up just one point in five consecutive Serie A matches.

Simon Inzaghi wants to be “Inter’s Klopp”.But now Inzaghi’s position at Inter seems stronger than ever. Aged 47, he is the Nerazzurri’s best player in Serie A. It is no coincidence that Inzaghi’s side scored the most goals and conceded the fewest goals in the league.

There is a feeling that this could be the season Inzaghi wins the Serie A title.”Inter” also gives good results in the Champions League. The Nerazzurri secured a place in the last 16 for the third successive season under Inzaghi and did so with just a few games remaining.

Tonight, Inter have the chance to top their group with a win over Real Sociedad. Of course, this comes after the Nerazzurri reached the final of the competition last season. So if Inzaghi can continue to play like he is now, I have a feeling this is just the beginning. The former Lazio manager will likely enjoy Klopp’s reign at Liverpool.

The German has managed the Anfield club for almost a decade. For Inzaghi, that level of longevity is still a long way off.But there is also a reason why this cannot be denied.
