Leicester made a number of defensive errors and were bereft of any real creativity in attack, with caretaker manager Ben Dawson fielding a back five.

Dawson, who was part of Steve Cooper’s staff, named Stephy Mavididi and Bilal El Khannouss on the bench, which was a strange decision.

Dawson named a really defensive team against Brentford and it just didn’t work at all.
