Jon Scheyer’s Insane High School Resume Goes Viral Before Duke’s March Madness Opener

Duke Blue Devils head coach Jon Scheyer has done an excellent job since taking over from legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski. With March Madness now underway, he is hoping to lead Duke to another national championship.

In his first three years with the Blue Devils as their head coach, Scheyer has compiled an 85-21 record. In 2023-24, he led Duke to the Elite Eight.Scheyer has much bigger goals this season. With Cooper Flagg and the rest of the talented roster, the Blue Devils have a chance.Ahead of Duke’s March Madness opener, Scheyer’s playing career has been brought up. During high school, he was a dominant player.SportsCenter NEXT posted Scheyer’s high school accolades on X. Those accolades include him scoring 3,034 career high school points, averaging 32 points per game as a senior, and many more.

“There’s a reason Coach K recruits you,” another said.Following his impressive high school career, Scheyer went on to play four years with the Blue Devils. He posted career averages of 14.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.4 steals per game in the 144 career games he played at Duke.

On Friday, Scheyer and the Blue Devils will open up their March Madness run with a matchup against Mount St Marys.
