Jose Mourinho predicts Premier League winner – and can’t hide disdain for old rival

Jose Mourinho was released at Arsenal as a candidate for first manchester and Liverpool. After 17 games, Gunners are at the top of Wood, Liverpool and Aston Villa. Defending champions City are five points behind the leaders after conceding a point at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday, but big players are set to return from injury in the coming weeks.

Mourinho, who won the Premier League title in both of his spells as Chelsea manager, was relegated by his former club after a slow start under Mauricio Pochettino. However, there are doubts over Arsenal, who last won the title in 2003-04. Mourinho moved to the Premier League for the first time after that success.

I would say 51% for Manchester City and 49% for Liverpool.” Mourinho said this on the Obi one podcast. Asked if Arsenal were on the run, he simply replied: “No.” “Besides the competition, I hope they win,” he added. “Of course Chelsea can’t win. No questions.”Of course Manchester United can’t win, I don’t mean Manchester United. Of these three, I prefer Arsenal to win.“Just 51 and 49. “The reason I say 51 and 49 is because there will be two teams in Manchester City when the game starts.”
