Lane Kiffin Strikes Again: Ole Miss Lands Electrifying 4-Star 2026 Wide Receiver, Strengthening Rebels’ Future Offense and Recruiting Momentum

In what’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting recruiting classes in recent memory for Ole Miss football, head coach Lane Kiffin has landed another major weapon on offense. On Saturday morning, 4-star wide receiver and 2026 standout recruit Jaylen “Jet” Harris officially committed to the Rebels, choosing Ole Miss over a host of top-tier programs including Alabama, Georgia, LSU, and Florida State.

Harris, who plays for Cedar Grove High School in Georgia, is currently ranked as the No. 8 wide receiver in the country and the No. 62 overall player in the ESPN 300 for the 2026 class. Known for his blistering speed, crisp route-running, and explosive playmaking ability, Harris had become a highly coveted target for SEC programs.

In a live video streamed on his Instagram account, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound receiver made his announcement wearing an Ole Miss cap and a custom Rebels jersey.

“I wanted to go somewhere where I could be a game-changer, and Coach Kiffin showed me that Ole Miss is that place,” Harris said. “They throw the ball, they play fast, and I can be myself in that offense. I’m ready to be a part of something special.”

This commitment marks a significant recruiting win for Lane Kiffin and his staff, who have built a reputation for landing elite offensive talent in recent years. Harris joins a growing list of dynamic playmakers in the Rebels’ 2026 class and is expected to be a centerpiece of the team’s future aerial attack.

Harris’ skill set aligns perfectly with Kiffin’s high-octane offensive scheme. As a junior, he recorded 1,324 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns, earning All-State honors and turning heads at numerous camps and showcases, including The Opening and Rivals 5-Star Challenge.

According to 247Sports recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong, Harris brings a combination of “next-level acceleration and elite body control,” making him a nightmare for defensive backs. “He’s the kind of athlete that can score any time he touches the ball,” Wiltfong said. “This is a huge pickup for Ole Miss.”

The addition of Harris continues a hot streak for the Rebels on the recruiting trail. Ole Miss now ranks in the top 10 nationally for the 2026 class and sits at No. 3 in the SEC recruiting rankings. With several other blue-chip prospects showing strong interest, Kiffin’s message of development, exposure, and NFL readiness appears to be resonating.

With two high school seasons still remaining, Harris will have time to further refine his game before arriving in Oxford. He’s expected to enroll early at Ole Miss in January 2026 and will likely compete for playing time as a true freshman.
