Liverpool already has three reasons why it should change André stance amid new transfer twist

Andre Trindade will certainly be on the radar next week as the Brazilian looks to help Fluminense become world champions. The most exciting crowd at this year’s Club World Cup will be Liverpool fans. Fluminense advanced to the semi-finals against Egyptian side Al Ahly ahead of an expected final against Manchester City. If Andre impresses once again, calls for a move to Anfield will no doubt intensify.
However, the possibility of a Liverpool transfer is slim.

According to the ECHO last month, the Reds have no plans to strengthen their midfield options in January. Perhaps the latest events will force the club to change its mind.
Jurgen Klopp suffered another injury problem against Manchester United when Ryan Gravenberg was ruled out with a hamstring problem. With Alexis McAllister already ruled out, the Liverpool manager continues to try to find good news for the Netherlands international. However, if the situation worsens, a revision may be necessary.

And Andre gave three compelling reasons why he should be revisited for the Copa Libertadores final against Boca Juniors. First of all, Andre’s tactical game revealed a lot in Fluminense. Often tasked with being the last man standing in Fluminense’s midfield, the Brazilian had to stop Boca Juniors’ quick affairs, but Andre was up to the task. He won eight of his 10 defensive tackles and had two tackles, an interception and eight fumble recoveries. Based on these numbers, this is a typical midfield performance, but Andre has shown that he is not an all-rounder.

Not only was he exemplary in defensive situations, he also showed composure and excellent distribution ability when in possession. Often tasked with dominating the center of the park, Andre’s ability to beat opposition counter-attacks and set the pace of the game with clever passing was a truly impressive aspect of his performance. With a completion percentage of 95%, no player who played at least 45 minutes in the finals averaged more. Overall, he missed just four of his 73 pass attempts in the game.Third, it wasn’t just how he held the ball, but how effectively Andre advanced and attacked his teammates.

Full of energy, he repeatedly outplayed his opponents with skilful faces and advanced to take the ball into dangerous areas. He can handle the ball and keep pressure downfield. It was a performance in the final that showed all his good qualities and was enough to help Fluminense lift the trophy. In the domestic competition, Andre still has a few more matches to play, but his main goal has been achieved. It remains to be seen what comes next.

Reports in Brazil suggest there could be a twist in Andre’s future. According to Globo Esporte, no offer has yet been received to match the $38m (£30m/€35m) asking price, and Fluminense could consider selling in the summer in order to better suited to a team in the Europa League.

Liverpool should definitely consider swooping in and doing a deal before then. After all, Andre has already shown why he can be perfect, and maybe he can do it again soon.
