The 22-year-old is enjoying a decent campaign at the Spanish club as he has put in a series of impressive displays for them on the right wing. Kubo has found the back of the net on seven occasions and secured four assists in 35 matches for Real Sociedad this season across all competitions.

The Japanese talent has been a consistent performer in the final third based on his average of 1.8 shots, 2.1 key passes and 1.8 dribbles per game in La Liga. He has also been careful when distributing possession in the opponent’s half after completing 80.5% of his attempted passes in the Spanish top tier (stats via whoscored).

The Japan international can also engineer some meaningful chances for his teammates up top. He mainly plays as a right-sided wide player but can also function on the left wing or play as an attacking midfielder down the middle if asked to do so.

We can expect Kubo to bring more goals and creativity to Liverpool‘s attacking department. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting spot at Anfield in the coming seasons. The Japanese talent might even help the Merseyside club compete across all fronts in the future.
