Goalkeeper – Alisson

The Liverpool number one role is certainly one that does not need replacing anytime soon, with Brazil star Alisson among the best goalkeepers in world football.

Unfortunately his presence means deputy Caoimhin Kelleher is likely to be sold, with the Ireland international undoubtedly deserving of a number one spot elsewhere.

Right-Back – Conor Bradley

Northern Ireland international Bradley was thrown in at the deep end this season amid an injury to Trent Alexander-Arnold.

But despite having massive boots to fill at Anfield, the young right-back has blown fans away, and may just have already done enough in his brief career to nail down a starting role.

Centre-Back – Virgil van Dijk

Captain fantastic van Dijk has wiped away any fears that he will follow Klopp out the exit door this summer, much to the relief of the Anfield faithful.

The Netherlands star has largely been forced onto the left side of central defense given his phenomenal ability, but the signing of a left-sided centre-back this summer could take van Dijk to another level, allowing him to move onto the right.

Centre-Back – Goncalo Inacio

And that new centre-back may just be Sporting Lisbon’s Inacio, who has been linked with a switch to Anfield.

He won’t come cheap, and won’t come easy amid interest from elsewhere, but the Portugal international would be an upgrade on Ibrahima Konate and Jarell Quansah. His ability on the ball would be most welcome.

Left-Back – Andy Robertson

One of the best left-backs that the Premier League has ever seen, Robertson has proven once more that he is still a major asset at both ends of the pitch.

The Scotland international doesn’t look like slowing down anytime soon, and should remain a very key player for Liverpool next season.

Central-Midfield – Trent Alexander-Arnold

Moving Alexander-Arnold into midfield wouldn’t please everyone, but England boss Gareth Southgate has attempted the approach on the international stage, and it certainly worked well.

The star’s passing range and ability on the ball mean he could thrive in the role at club level too, while it would also save the Reds plenty of money given that a new midfielder would not be required.

Central-Midfield – Alexis Mac Allister

The Argentine has been very impressive in his first season at Anfield, where he has often been forced into doing more defensive work than he perhaps would have liked.

But when allowed to push forward, Mac Allister has proven to be a fantastic signing, and should continue to be a Liverpool star for many years to come.

Central-Midfield – Dominik Szoboszlai

Szoboszlai started his Reds career very brightly, but has been out of form in more recent times, with the midfielder regularly watching on from the bench.

But a return to form would see him become a first-team regular once more, with the Hungarian undoubtedly a hugely talented player. He can unlock any defense when given the chance.

Right-Wing – Mohamed Salah

Like van Dijk, Salah could be a player potentially moving on with Klopp at the end of the season, with the winger certain to have plenty of suitors.

The Egyptian international has stuttered recently, but that is simply because of the stunning standards he has set during his time in red, with fans surely wanting his career to continue at Anfield for at least another season.

Centre-Forward – Diogo Jota

Liverpool splashed the cash to bring Darwin Nunez to Anfield not so long ago, but it hasn’t all been smiles for the Uruguay international.

Fortunately, the Reds still have a stunning talent in Jota among their attacking ranks, with the Portuguese star a phenomenal option from the start if he can keep himself fit next season.

Left-Wing – Luis Diaz

The likes of Nunez and Cody Gakpo have both proven their versatility on the left side of the frontline, but an out-and-out winger with the talent of Diaz must be the first choice option.

Like Szoboszlai and Salah, the Colombian star hasn’t always been on top form this season, but he remains a very promising option going forward thanks to his speed and direct running.
