Liverpool have announced squad news ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League game against Fulham at Anfield.
Liverpool remain top of the Premier League when they face Fulham on Sunday. They did so based on two positive results.
A draw with Manchester City at the Etihad and a convincing 4-0 win over LASK in the Europa League.
Liverpool announced on the club’s official website the news of the first team for the match against Fulham. Jurgen Klopp’s line-up against LASK is expected to be the same.
That means neither Alisson nor Diogo Jota will return, which is not expected. Andy Robertson, Thiago and Stefan Bajcetic will also be among Red’s long-term absentees.
But Ibrahima Konate can play well. Klopp took him off after 56 minutes against LASK, saying it was a “medical decision” to limit his minutes. Whether that means he will start against Fulham is anyone’s guess, but the Frenchman is available and will be included in the squad.
Liverpool have taken steps to ensure their players are not overused in midweek as the busy winter season approaches. That means there are no resistance issues here either. Almost everyone should be ready to start if Klopp wants.
For Fulham, Palinha is suspended but has four guarantees. Issa Diop, Adama Traore, Tyrese Francois and Rodrigo Muniz are ruled out of the Anfield match.
Kenny Tete and Tosin Adarabioyo are two players who remain doubtful. According to Marco Silva, the pair will need minutes in the match, with him being a clear option.
This means he could be in the squad for the game against Liverpool if he only plays a few minutes at the end.
