Liverpool in ‘advanced discussions’ to sign Premier League transfer target

Liverpool are actively looking to sign Bournemouth centre-back Lloyd Kelly this summer and are in “preliminary discussions” to sign the 25-year-old. With Jurgen Klopp set to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, the Reds face a summer of uncertainty as they try to recruit a replacement for the 56-year-old.

Liverpool are expected to be in the market for a centre-back regardless of their new manager, although changes to the dugout could also affect the club’s summer transfer plans. Many names have been mentioned, with Manchester United particularly interested in signing a left-handed centre-back who can play at left-back.

Sporting CP defender Goncalo Inacio is often linked with Anfield, but the Reds are also interested in Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly. The defender will become a free agent at the end of the season and will also take up an in-house position for the Reds.
