Salah was the subject of significant interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad last summer, with the club reportedly making an offer worth in excess of £200m for the 31-year-old.

In 2022 Salah put pen to paper for a new deal at Anfield worth £400,000-a-week to make him the highest-paid player in the club’s history.

However, that deal will have just 12 months remaining when the transfer window reopens this summer, opening the door for a potential exit.
