Jurgen Klopp has earned a reputation for nurturing talent, with almost everyone who walks into his Liverpool side seeing vast improvements in their own game.

Liverpool will significantly miss Klopp’s ability to develop the club’s young talent, and the Merseyside club’s recent Carabao Cup triumph demonstrated that to a tee by beating Chelsea with an extremely inexperienced eleven.

One of Klopp’s substitutes in the game, Jarell Quansah, has had a quite extraordinary rise this season and that has been reflected in his transfer value.

Last April the 21-year-old was valued at €400,000 by transfermarkt, but after a breakout season that has seen him make 20 appearances in all competitions his estimated value has risen to €15 million. That’s almost 40 times his value from 11 months ago!

Quansah was given his opportunity to shine thanks to Liverpool’s involvement in the Europa League and has featured in 9 Premier League games this season which included a recent start against Manchester City at Anfield.

This doesn’t just go for younger players, with Mo Salah a prime example of a player with considerable experience coming into the club and going from class to world-class almost instantaneously. The Egyptian broke the Premier League goal record in a single season (32) at his first attempt and has since proven it was no fluke.

Klopp signed the 30-year-old midfielder from Stuttgart in the summer, and there were considerable reservations over whether he would be able to plug the gap of Fabinho but the Japanese international has been sensational.

Liverpool fans will be hoping Klopp’s work will be carried over once he leaves the club at the end of the season, as it is an aspect of his management that is severely underrated.
