Liverpool Plot Move For £42M Manchester City Transfer Target To Replace Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a move for Jeremie Frimpong, a £42M Manchester City transfer target, to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold. However, it seems that Liverpool’s interest in Frimpong might be overstated, as Arne Slot, the club’s manager, is said to prefer a traditional right-back in a back four, and Frimpong’s role as a wing-back doesn’t fit into Liverpool’s system ¹.

 

Instead, Liverpool have been linked to other potential replacements for Alexander-Arnold, including Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong, RB Salzburg’s Amar Dedic, RB Leipzig’s Lutsharel Geertruida, and Monaco’s Vanderson ². Chelsea’s Malo Gusto has also been mentioned as a possible target ².

It’s worth noting that Alexander-Arnold’s contract with Liverpool is set to expire at the end of the season, and Real Madrid are rumored to be interested in signing him ² ³. If Alexander-Arnold were to leave, Liverpool would need to find a suitable replacement to fill the void.
