His current contract at the Bay Arena expires in 2028 and has a €40 million release clause that could be activated next summer. There aren’t many players who can consistently switch from full-back, but creative Dutch international Alexander-Arnold fits the bill.
Liverpool will be without Trent Alexander-Arnold for several weeks, a huge blow for Klopp as the England star has been world class this season. The vice-captain is one of the most versatile and creative defenders in world football and has been effective in midfield as well.
Last season, the 23-year-old directly contributed to 20 goals (9 goals, 11 assists) in all Bundesliga competitions.
