According to TeamTalk, it will take an offer of at least $63m to convince Atalanta to sell the player during the January transfer window, with the club understandably reluctant to see a key player leave in the middle of a season in which he is performing well. . Ederson is under contract with Atalanta until 2027, so the Italian club are under no pressure to sell at the moment.

Meanwhile, a story that broke on Thursday and perhaps shouldn’t be taken too seriously claims that Liverpool are willing to part with Ryan Gravenberch for more money to bring in Aurelien Tchouameni.

The notoriously unreliable Fichajes (many people have stopped reading it) says that Tchouameni has failed to establish himself as a quality Real Madrid player since arriving at the Bernabeu in 2022 and that there is a desire within the club to force him to leave.

The report says that Liverpool would have to pay Madrid between $21 million and $32 million, as well as release Gravenberch, to get a deal for Tchouameni over the line.

It’s fair to say that the chances of that happening are very slim, so Liverpool fans shouldn’t worry about the Dutchman leaving anytime soon.
