Neil Warnock reveals who he thinks will win the Premier League this season

 

Neil Warnock has now had his say on which one of Liverpool, Arsenal or Manchester City will win the Premier League this season.

Pep Guardiola’s clash with Mikel Arteta on Sunday was meant to be a real indicator of which way the title-race would swing this year.

 

However, it probably shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that the league’s best two defences ultimately cancelled each other out.

And whether you loathed every second of the game as a fan, or loved the tactical intricacies, we didn’t learn an awful lot come May.

Of course, Jurgen Klopp will have probably been sitting pretty happy having just beaten Brighton & Hove Albion too.

 

The Liverpool boss watched neither of his rivals pick up any real momentum at the Etihad, and although many thought an Arsenal win would be best for Klopp’s side, a draw will definitely suffice too.

That all being said, Neil Warnock shared his view on the Premier League title race on talkSPORT this morning.

And with events on the weekend considered, the manager had one clear favourite.

Neil Warnock backs Liverpool to win the Premier League ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal

Warnock first shared his thoughts on the weekend’s ‘terrible’ game at the Etihad and then backed Klopp’s Liverpool side to win the title in his final season.

He began: “That was one of the worst games, I think I got up and made a cup of tea in the Arsenal game. That was terrible.

“But Liverpool all credit to them, they just had a go, I think they are the team now with Man City’s injuries.

“I tipped Man City early doors but it is going to be so touch and go now.

“Man City are three behind Liverpool anyway, so they have to lose one game and I can’t see them losing too many, Liverpool.”

Of course, those Manchester City injuries Warnock is referring to are mostly at the back.

 

Kyle Walker’s issue does seem a bit of a worry, even if John Stones was present on the bench against Arsenal.

But with Ederson hoping to return soon, things should get better soon rather than later.

It’s evidently going to be a very tight-run race, and perhaps the likes of Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur will still have the key say, given they will play the sides listed above again.

All that being said, Micah Richards shared his prediction for the title-race yesterday too, and wasn’t tempted to choose Liverpool as well.
