As he approaches free agency for the first time in his career, Nick Chubb has expressed a strong desire to remain with the Cleveland Browns. Chubb, who has been a pivotal part of the Browns’ offense since being drafted in 2018, stated, “Of course, this is where I was drafted. This is where I’ve played the last seven years.”
Over his tenure in Cleveland, Chubb has established himself as one of the NFL’s premier running backs, achieving multiple 1,000-yard seasons and earning four Pro Bowl selections. However, recent injuries have impacted his playtime; a severe knee injury limited him to two games in 2023, and a broken foot curtailed his 2024 season after eight games.
Despite these setbacks, Chubb remains optimistic about his future with the Browns. He acknowledged that contract discussions have yet to commence but expressed a preference for a swift resolution, stating, “I’m not sure how it’ll work. This is the first time I’ve been a free agent. But I’d like to get it done sooner than later.”
