Two-time UEFA Champions League winners, Chelsea, are considering making a move for Guinea and Borussia Dortmund striker, Serhou Guirassy, Soccernet.ng reports.
Enzo Maresca’s side have been linked with Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, last summer, but his hefty release clause has hindered a move. Now, in a summer transfer window that’s shaping up to be promising, the Blues are considering testing the waters elsewhere.
Osimhen is set to leave Galatasaray when his loan spell ends, and Napoli are willing to let the former LOSC Lille man walk for just seventy-five million euros.
As per Spanish outlet, Fichajes, Chelsea are preparing a $75m offer to sign Guirassy as they aim to fix their goalscoring problems in front of goal. Despite the huge sum spent on recruiting players, the Blues are still not impressive, particularly when it relates to scoring goals.
Guirassy has been brilliant for a dull Dortmund side this season, scoring 28 goals and providing five assists in 41 games across all competitions for Nico Kovac’s side. He’s also the top-scorer in the UEFA Champions League.
Chelsea’s proposed bid matches the release clause in Guirassy’s contract, as he joined Die Schwarzgelben just under a year ago from VfB Stuttgart.
Enzo Maresca’s side are not alone in the pursuit of the 29-year-old as Juventus and Napoli are also monitoring the lethal finisher closely.
