Packers’ Jordan Love joined elite company after win vs. Cowboys

 

The Green Bay Packers made history on Sunday. They became the first No. 7 seed to win a playoff game, as they thrashed the Dallas Cowboys 48-32 in a game in which Green Bay was in control from the opening kickoff.

The game was highlighted by the spectacular performance of the first-year starter. Love sliced and diced the Cowboys defense, throwing for 272 yards and three touchdowns.

 

His performance on Sunday helped him join an elite list of quarterbacks.

Not only did Love put together an elite postseason performance, but he also joined the likes of Peyton Manning and Kurt Warner as he became the seventh QB ever to attempt at least 20 passes and have a passer rating over 150.0 in a playoff game.

The games by Love and Houston Texans rookie QB C.J. Stroud highlighted two things. One is if a team puts pieces around a young QB, he will flourish. The second is, after watching a season of spotty quarterback play all across the board, it looks good on the NFL that two young quarterbacks in their first postseason starts helped their teams move on in the playoffs.
