The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to host blazing-fast Iowa State wide receiver Jaylin Noel on a pre-draft visit, according to MLFootball and confirmed to PennLive.
Noel shined at the Senior Bowl and has flown up draft boards quickly. He is now expected to be a second-round draft pick. While at the NFL Combine, Noel ran a 4.39 40-yard dash while adding a 41.5-inch vertical and 11-foot-2-inch broad jump. In addition, a 6.82 three-cone drill means he had the quickness to back up the speed. The 5-foot-10, 194-pound Noel had a strong season in 2024. He put up 1194 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 80 receptions. As a deep threat, Noel could fill the Steelers’ deep threat role.
Noel was a captain of the Iowa State Cyclones and has received rave reviews about his character from his time in Ames. This is the Steelers’ first Top-30 visit reported, and Noel is a slot wide receiver type, which makes this one all the more fascinating for the Steelers. It either means they view Noel as someone who can play outside, or have other plans for Calvin Austin III and Roman Wilson.
