Razorbacks Hit the Road: Coach Pittman Leads Electrifying Kickoff to ONE Razorback Roadshow in Bentonville
BENTONVILLE, Ark. — The energy was palpable, the crowd enthusiastic, and the Razorback pride unmistakable as the ONE Razorback Roadshow officially kicked off in Bentonville on Thursday evening. Fans from across the Northwest Arkansas region gathered to celebrate the University of Arkansas’s athletic spirit, catching a rare and up-close glimpse of the coaches and athletes who represent the Hogs on a national stage.
Headlining the evening was head football coach Sam Pittman, joined by gymnastics head coach Jordyn Wieber and women’s basketball head coach Mike Neighbors, with special guest Coach Missy Musick of Razorback softball. The event marked the beginning of a statewide tour designed to strengthen the bond between Razorback Athletics and its passionate fan base.
“This is about family, connection, and reminding every corner of Arkansas that they are a vital part of what we do in Fayetteville,” Coach Pittman told the packed crowd at the Benton County Fairgrounds. “Whether you’re in Bentonville, El Dorado, or Jonesboro — we’re ONE Razorback.”
Coach Pittman, entering his fifth season at the helm of Arkansas football, received thunderous applause as he talked about the team’s offseason development, returning players, and what fans can expect from the Hogs in the 2025 season. “We’ve got grit. We’ve got talent. And we’ve got unfinished business,” he said. “Our guys are hungry, and we’re going to show the country what Arkansas football is all about.”
Gymnastics coach Jordyn Wieber, who has led the Razorbacks to new heights in the SEC and national rankings, shared her excitement about the program’s growth and thanked fans for their unwavering support. “The environment you create in Bud Walton Arena is one of the best in the country — and our gymnasts feel it every single meet,” she said.
Coach Musick added to the energy by highlighting the momentum in Razorback softball, currently ranked in the Top 25, and the pride of building a competitive program that continues to attract elite talent.
The evening also featured autograph sessions, fan giveaways, musical performances, and photo ops with mascots Tusk V and Big Red, creating a festival-like atmosphere that drew families, alumni, and local business owners alike.
For many in attendance, the event was more than a meet-and-greet — it was a celebration of shared identity and state pride.
“Being a Razorback fan is about more than wins and losses,” said Bentonville native and longtime supporter Maria Thompson. “It’s about community, tradition, and believing in something bigger than yourself. Tonight reminded us of that.”
The ONE Razorback Roadshow will continue with stops in cities across Arkansas over the coming weeks, aiming to bring the Fayetteville experience directly to fans across the Natural State.
As Coach Pittman reminded the audience before stepping off the stage: “We’re not just representing the University. We’re representing you. And we’re proud to wear
Arkansas on our chest.”
