Read Jurgen Klopp’s full official match schedule ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Manchester United at Anfield today.

“Welcome to Anfield for our Premier League match against our esteemed rivals and rivals Manchester United. We look forward to playing this game in the cities we represent and beyond.

“I would like to send my warmest greetings to Eric ten Hag, his staff, the players and the United fans. Today is a day where we want to outdo each other, but it is important to do it right.

This road it begins and ends with respect. Anything else makes no sense.“Our history, location and success, of course, means we can’t be competitors.

This ‘relationship’ has been built after decades of prominence in English football and I am proud to be a part of it. But then again, my pride in being part of Liverpool’s history doesn’t mean I don’t understand why people across the motorway feel the same way about their club.

“I also know that’s what I expect today and it’s a good test. I don’t care about last season’s results in this game. That doesn’t give us any advantage today, and if it did it would add something to United’s motivation.”

If the rules of football allowed goals to carry over from one game to another, I might think differently about it, but of course not. That means they don’t have to remind anyone of today’s game.

It starts 0-0 and both players are all 0 – 0. The teams are tied until the opposite end. “Our job is to do our best to be a team that gives evidence. We know it’s almost Christmas, but United are not coming to give us presents.

Everything you get in this game has to be earned the hard way. If anyone expects something different, I can’t help it. “I know United won’t be at their best, but that means they see this game as an opportunity to do their best.

We know that because this story is one of the oldest in football. “We understand this because we have been through similar situations where the results were not what we expected. In this case, the atmosphere can change with the match against the opposition, so we have to have the best players ready to play We must be prepared to face the Manchester United team.

“So we need to get as close as possible, and that means everyone who has a heart for Liverpool working together to make Anfield the special place we know it is. “Me, me or anyone else, we need to be at as close as we are.

maybe it’s for the fans in the stadium today. I don’t think for a second that I should say the atmosphere will help, but at the same time I want to remember the last game at home to Fulham. “That day we were 3-2 down and things weren’t going well.

But there came a time when the team and the crowd caught fire and everything changed. I wish there was a word to express this feeling in English, but there isn’t. This was Anfield at its best, a place where anything was possible.

“The feeling it gave me was incredible, so I can only imagine what it was like for our players on the pitch. I know it can’t be like this all the time, but it made me think how special it would be if I they could be together more often. It doesn’t matter if the crowd fires the player or the player fires the crowd.

If we can create that chemistry together, it won’t hurt us. I would say so. “With the new Anfield Road stand almost fully open today, we will have more supporters here than at any time in 50 years.

“This gives us a great opportunity, so we have to work together, as we always have, and try to bring out the best in each other.”Pick up a copy of the Enfield program today or order online here..
