The New Orleans Saints have some clear needs for their roster entering the 2025 NFL draft, following the biggest moves of free agency. It will be intriguing to watch how they address they needs, while considering value, under Kellen Moore.
I analyzed their day one and two picks from the mock and included the day three sections as well. Check out their picks below.
Latest Saints mock draft breakdown
9) New Orleans Saints: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
No team spends as recklessly as New Orleans does, but it’d be hard to blame them for grabbing Tyler Warren here. The board has good talent at other important positions, but Warren has the highest grade besides Jeanty. A tremendously explosive presence with good blocking ability, Warren is a top-five talent in the class. — Valentino
New Orleans’ re-signing of Juwan Johnson has normally take TE off the board for me at this pick. Valentino is good with this swing, though, considering Warren’s upside in an offense like Kellen Moore’s.
I get it, too. It’s tough to navigate the early portion of this draft for New Orleans without just taking one of the best prospects left on the board, regardless of position. Warren would play a role moving forward alongside Johnson. Those two don’t have to take chances away from each other, necessarily.
71) New Orleans Saints: Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State
This value is fantastic. Higgins could go anywhere between early round two – to here in round three. He is a big-body wideout with solid speed and elusiveness for his size.
The Saints need a jump-ball catch guy in their offense, and Derek Carr would love throwing the football to the former Cyclone
.
93) New Orleans Saints: Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Virginia Tech
Tuten is an incredible athlete. When you see him move, it just looks different that most other collegiate athletes. A backup option for Alvin Kamara is required in this year’s draft class since they did not address that need during free agency.
112) New Orleans Saints: Ajani Cornelius, OT, Oregon
131) New Orleans Saints: Malachi Moore, SAF, Alabama
184) New Orleans Saints: Dante Trader Jr., SAF, Maryland
248) New Orleans Saints: Jaylin Lane, WR, Virginia Tech
254) New Orleans Saints: Robert Longerbeam, CB, Rutgers
