Sane, 28, left Manchester City in 2018 but has been heavily linked with a return to the English top flight in recent months.According to reports in Spain, Liverpool are interested in signing the Germany international as they look for a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, while Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on the Bayern star.
But former Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen and Chelsea striker Pizarro believes Sane should stay.Asked whether Sane should return to the Premier League or stay at Bayern, Pizarro told FootballTransfers: “Of course he should stay at Bayern. “I think he is a great player.
I have always known his ability as a footballer and he has had difficult times in the Premier League. “When I came to Bayern I wasn’t very happy at first, but I started training again and I had to work to improve and I did.””He’s playing great football now, he’s got a lot of confidence, he’s got a lot of experience and he’s an important part of the team.
” I think he should stay at Bayern.Leroy Sane’s incredible 2023-2024 season is by the numbers so farSane has scored eight goals and provided 11 assists in 20 Bundesliga appearances this season and has formed an impressive partnership with summer transfer Harry Kane. The former Manchester City man has assisted five of Kane’s 24 league goals so far this season, more than any other player across the division. By comparison, Florian Wirz assisted Victor Boniface’s four goals for Bayer Leverkusen. These are the most assists of any Bundesliga scorer.
Despite Pizarro’s comments, Sane only has 18 months left on his current Bayern contract, meaning Thomas Tuchel’s side will need to act quickly and tie him down to a new deal soon.
