Shedeur Sanders stirred speculation about his NFL future on Monday after acknowledging a message from Cleveland Browns fans with a one-word response. Sanders is projected as one of the top quarterbacks in the upcoming NFL draft. The Browns hold the No. 2 overall pick, which puts them in prime position to snag a franchise signal-caller. Cleveland is in dire need of a quarterback, with Deshaun Watson’s future in doubt after re-injuring his Achilles. The veteran underwent a second surgery on the injury in January, which is expected to sideline him for most of next season
Rumors have swirled about Deion Sanders potentially preventing the Browns from drafting his son, but Shedeur’s latest response to Cleveland fans suggests otherwise. A small group of Browns fans voiced their frustration in front of the team’s stadium following Myles Garrett’s trade demand on Monday. However, the group also did Shedeur Sanders’ patented watch flex celebration on camera and played his song “Perfect Timing.” Sanders responded to the video with just one word, which he uses often.
“Shedeur is a really impressive young man,” Berry said. “He’s poised. He’s calm. He’s smart, and you can tell that he’s been raised by – quite honestly – a Hall of Fame dad. We’re going to get to know him even more over the course of the spring, but he’s really impressive.” Sanders threw for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions during his final season with the Buffaloees.
