STEELERS ON HIGH ALERT: Eagles Release CB Darius Slay, Mutual Interest Could Lead to Pittsburgh Reunion

 

Pittsburgh, PA – The NFL free agency period just got a whole lot more interesting. The Philadelphia Eagles have released veteran cornerback Darius Slay, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are among the teams that could be a potential landing spot.

Slay, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, has been one of the top cornerbacks in the league over the past decade. He’s known for his shutdown ability, ball-hawking skills, and toughness.

The Steelers have had interest in Slay before, and it’s no secret that he’s a fan of the team. In fact, Slay has been open about his admiration for the Steelers’ organization and his desire to play for them.

 

“I’ve always been a fan of the Steelers,” Slay said in a previous interview. “I love their tradition, their history, and their passion for football.”
