Kentucky came in at No. 3, perhaps a carryover from John Calipari’s 15-year tenure, which ended after last season. Calipari led UK to four Final Fours and one national championship.

His previous Final Four appearances with UMass and Memphis were vacated due to rules violations within those programs, although Calipari was never directly implicated.

Florida checked in at No. 2, Kansas at No. 6, and the two-time defending national champion UConn Huskies are No. 10.
