The January transfer window opens in a week. Premier League clubs have a lot to do in the coming month and one of the teams linked with a number of new signings is Liverpool.
Reds have rebuilt their midfield this summer, but the Merseyside club believe they still need to sign a midfielder to replace Fabinho.
Andre Trindade is a player who has been heavily linked recently, but a deal is unlikely, according to James Pearce on The Athletic Football Podcast.
Pearce said Liverpool sources told him Andre’s signing was unlikely. Andre probably won’t sign.
Pearce has shared what he knows about the £25million Brazilian.”A lot of fans are also talking about the middle role.
Liverpool have been linked with Fluminense’s Andrés on several occasions, but people I spoke to at Liverpool said they are unlikely to replace him again. “When they tried to bring in Romeo Lavia, he was considered as a possible alternative, but they ended up leaving Andre,” said Pearce.
Are there new signatures? Andre is unlikely to join Liverpool in January, but will there be any new signings at Anfield next month?
Red look to win the Premier League title this season, they are likely to add new players to the squad and it has to be said that they are currently lacking in the centre-back and defensive midfield positions.
Andre is not a very reliable player for Liverpool, but as the old saying goes, there are more fish in the sea. Liverpool could be a team to keep an eye on ahead of the January transfer window.
