Pearce shared what he knows about Elliott.
The journalist says that Elliott has been back tracking with the U21s recently, and he’s set to join up with the first-team later this week.Elliott has been described as an ‘exceptional’ player in the past.
“With Alisson’s not far off, Jota should be back. Slot said he expected Jota back a week after this break,” Pearce said.
“You’ve got Harvey Elliott was stepping up with the 21s last week, with a view to joining the seniors later on this week.
“We know that Trent’s injury was only a minor one, and obviously a race against time for him for the weekend. So at the minute, though, there’s no obvious signs of Liverpool preparing to get the chequebook out in January.”
