It was a day of achievement, pride, and reflection at the University of Kentucky, as the Class of 2025 gathered at the historic Rupp Arena to mark their graduation. Among the proud graduates were seven standout members of the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball program — student-athletes who balanced the rigors of academics and Division I basketball with discipline and integrity.

Leading the way was Ansley Almonor, whose journey from court to commencement stage was marked by quiet leadership and determination. A defensive anchor and high-IQ guard, Lamont Butler brought intensity and maturity to the Wildcats roster. As a transfer and veteran player, Butler balanced his final collegiate season while completing his degree in Kinesiology, with plans to stay involved in basketball training and development.

The dependable forward and team-first player, Andrew Carr, was a key contributor off the bench, known for doing the little things that don’t always show up in the box score. Carr graduated with a degree in Sports Management, with a potential future in coaching or athletic administration.

While not a household name on the court, Grant Darbyshire earned respect as a hardworking practice player and locker room presence. He was the epitome of a student-athlete, excelling in academics with a Business major and consistently supporting team chemistry and preparation.

Flamboyant and fearless, Kerr Kriisa lit up the court with his high-energy style and fearless playmaking. Off the hardwood, he completed his degree in International Studies, reflecting his European background and his ambitions for a global basketball career.

One of the most dynamic scorers on the team, Jaxson Robinson delivered big-time moments throughout the season. Graduating with a degree in Sociology, Robinson hopes to combine his knowledge of people and communities with future plans in professional sports or youth mentorship.
